How to choose the right Corset
Through chatting to our customers, we've discovered the biggest problem with online corset stores has been complications with finding the correct size. We aim to solve this problem with a guarantee to find the right size for you by a combination of guiding you to measure yourself properly and then undertaking to exchange the corset if the size is unsuitable and continue exchanging until we find the right size. We also appreciate our customers come in all sizes, so all our corsets are always available in sizes ranging from 20 to 40 inches.
All our corsets are made with high quality sprung steel or flat steel boning and fasten at the front with between 4 and 6 hook and eye fastenings. The corset laces at the back with one long lace, which tightens in the middle of the corset, reducing the waist as you tighten the lace. The amount by which your waist can be reduced depends on two things: the size of the corset, and how tightly you lace it.
In order to work out the size of corset you need to order, firstly measure yourself around the waist. If your waist is narrower than your hips, measure it at the narrowest point. If it is not narrower, or there is no discernable difference, stand in front of a mirror and let your arms hang by your side, noting where your elbows fall on your body. Measure around your waist at this point - it should be roughly in line with your belly button. Once you have a figure for your waist size, simply deduct the amount by which you would like to reduce your waist to get the size of corset that you need to order. For decorative wear, you'll want to take off 3 or 4 inches, but for serious tight lacing, you might want to take off up to 6 inches! Remember, if you're not 100% happy with the size we have a no quibble exchange policy, which means you can return the corset and we'll exchange free of charge and keep exchanging until you're totally happy with the fit.
